John Lanigan (hurler)
John Lanigan (17 June 1912 - October 1988) was an Irish hurler. His league and championship career with the Tipperary senior team lasted five seasons from 1936 to 1940. Born in Rossmore, County Tipperary, Lanigan enjoyed his first hurling successes with Thurles CBS. Here he won a Harty Cup medal. Lanigan first appeared for the Thurles Sarsfields club at juvenile and underage levels. He eventually joined the club's senior team winning four county championship medals.
