John Tippets
John H. Tippets (born January 16, 1952 in Ogden, Utah) was a Republican Idaho State Senator beginning in 2011 representing the 31st (now 32nd) District, appointed by Governor Butch Otter to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of Senator Robert L. Geddes. In 2015 Tippets resigned after being appointed Director of the Department of Environmental Quality. Tippets was a member of the Idaho House of Representatives from 1988 until 2000.
