Jonathan Van-Tam
Jonathan Stafford Nguyen Van-Tam MBE (born 2 February 1964) is a British healthcare professional specialising in influenza, including its epidemiology, transmission, vaccinology, antiviral drugs and pandemic preparedness. After hospital work he was involved variously as a university lecturer and within the pharmaceutical industry. Van-Tam has been a Deputy Chief Medical Officer for England since 2 October 2017. As of 2021, he is one of two deputies.
