Jor-El

Jor-El, originally known as Jor-L, is a fictional character appearing in comic books published by DC Comics. Created by writer Jerry Siegel and artist Joe Shuster, Jor-El first appeared in a newspaper comic strip in 1939 with Superman. Jor-El was portrayed by Marlon Brando in the films Superman, Superman II and Superman Returns. This character was portrayed by Russell Crowe in Zack Snyder's film, Man of Steel. Angus Macfadyen portrayed the character in the television series Superman & Lois.
