Juan de Asco
Juan de Asco (1726–c. 1790) was a Spanish military and politician, who served as interim overseer of Buenos Aires. He took part in various military campaigns in both America and Europe, including the Seven Years' War. He also had an active participation in the expulsion of the Jesuits. He was born in Navarra, Spain, the son of Joseph de Asco and Josefa de Garbalena, belonging to a distinguished family of noblemen. He was married in Buenos Aires to María Luisa Merlos, daughter of Miguel de Merlos and María Teresa del Saz, an honorable family from the city.
