Judge Turpin

Judge Turpin (also known as Lord Turpin) is a fictional character in the various adaptations of the story Sweeney Todd. He is the main antagonist, who imprisons Benjamin Barker on a false charge, rapes Barker's wife, and takes Barker's daughter Johanna as his ward; he also has sexual designs on Johanna, and has her institutionalized so that her true love Anthony Hope cannot take her from him. The story revolves around Barker, now known as Sweeney Todd, attempting to take revenge and kill Turpin.
