Karen Tandy

Karen Pomerantz Tandy is the former head of the Drug Enforcement Administration, an agency of the United States Department of Justice. She was nominated by President George W. Bush and confirmed by the U.S. Senate on July 31, 2003. She was the first female head of the DEA. Tandy is a native of Fort Worth, Texas and is a graduate of L. D. Bell High School in Hurst, TX, Texas Tech University and the Texas Tech University School of Law.
