Khaw Boon Wan

Khaw Boon Wan (born 8 December 1952) is a former Singaporean politician. He is the chairman of a new media entity being split from Singapore Press Holdings in May 2021. Khaw served as Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and the Minister for Transport from 1 October 2015 to 26 July 2020. He was the chairman of the governing People's Action Party (PAP) from 2011 to 2018 after Lim Boon Heng stepped down from the position. He was previously the Minister for Health from 31 August 2004 to 20 May 2011 and the Minister for National Development from 21 May 2011 to 30 September 2015. He was a Member of Parliament (MP) from 25 October 2001 to 23 June 2020 for almost 19 years. He announced his retirement from politics after 19 years on 26 June 2020.
