Laniifera cyclades
Laniifera cyclades is a snout moth in the subfamily Spilomelinae of the family Crambidae. It was described by Herbert Druce in 1895, based on three imagines collected in Mexico City and near Durango City in Mexico. Apart from Mexico, the species is also found in the states of Arizona and Texas in the United States. The caterpillars feed on Opuntia (prickly pear cactuses) and are considered a pest.
