Laura Dudas
Laura Dudas, née Czekaj (born November 3, 1978) is a Canadian politician. She was elected to Ottawa City Council representing Innes Ward in the 2018 Ottawa municipal election. Dudas grew up in Kitchener, Ontario, the daughter of a Richard, a welder and Linda Czekaj, a Sears employee. Dudas first ran for council in the 2014 Ottawa municipal election, but lost to Jody Mitic. When Mitic retired, Dudas ran again in 2018, and won 41% of the vote, defeating her nearest rival, Donna Leith-Gudbranson by nearly 1700 votes.
