The populated places of Colorado currently comprise: * 272 active incorporated municipalities and their neighborhoods, * 210 census-designated places (CDPs), * more than 900 other unincorporated communities, * two Native American reservations, * 21 units of the National Park System, and * more than 400 active post offices. Formerly inhabited places in Colorado include abandoned military posts, trading posts, townsites, and post offices.
