Local Service District (Newfoundland and Labrador)

Local service districts define geographic boundaries for the provision and financing (through local taxation) of limited services such as water supply, fire protection, street lighting, animal control, planning and development services, garbage disposal, in some cases sewerage, and cost-sharing with other areas.
