London Internet Exchange

The London Internet Exchange ("LINX") is a mutually governed Internet exchange point (IXP) that provides peering services and public policy representation to network operators (over 950 different ASNs). LINX operates IXPs in London, Manchester, Scotland and Wales in the United Kingdom and Northern Virginia in the USA. LINX was founded in 1994 by a group of ISPs and educational networks and is a founder member of Euro-IX, a Europe-wide alliance of Internet Exchanges. It is currently one of the largest neutral IXPs in Europe in terms of average throughput.
