Markuszów

Markuszów [marˈkuʂuf] is a village in Puławy County, Lublin Voivodeship, in eastern Poland. The first written mention of Markuszów dates from the year 1317. It is the seat of the gmina (administrative district) called Gmina Markuszów. It lies approximately 22 kilometres (14 mi) east of Puławy and 25 km (16 mi) north-west of the regional capital Lublin. The current village population is reported to be around 1,300 residents.
