Mary Winifred Harris
Mary Winifred Harris QSO was the thirteenth Clerk of the New Zealand House of Representatives ("Clerk of the House"). She was appointed Clerk of the House on 10 December 2007, following the resignation of David Graham McGee. She served as Clerk of the House for 7 years and 7 months before retiring on 5 July 2015. Mary Harris has a Bachelor of Arts degree, with majors in both Music and Geography, from the Victoria University of Wellington. In the 2014 New Year Honours, she was appointed a Companion of the Queen's Service Order in recognition of her services to Parliament.
