Metaxades

Metaxades (Greek: Μεταξάδες, [metaˈksaðes]) is a large village and a former municipality in the Evros regional unit, East Macedonia and Thrace, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Didymoteicho, of which it is a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 211.238 km2. In 2011 its population was 687 for the village, 717 for the community and 3,415 for the municipality.
