Meyer Robert Guggenheim

Meyer Robert Guggenheim (May 17, 1885 – November 16, 1959) (often recorded as M. Robert Guggenheim) was an American statesman and a member of the prominent Guggenheim family. Born in New York City, he was the son of Daniel Guggenheim (1856–1930), brother of Harry Frank Guggenheim, and nephew of Simon Guggenheim. From 1938 until his death he was married to Rebecca Pollard who was previously married to William van Lennep and afterwards to John Logan. He attended Columbia College with the class of 1907, but left before graduation.
