Nagwa

Nagwa is a village with a population of 8,000 and 1,300-acre (5.3 km2) in the Ballia district in the eastern part of Uttar Pradesh in India. A large percentage of the population consists of Hindus. The village is 6 km east of Ballia District Headquarters close to the River Ganges. It is the birthplace of one of the most courageous historic hero Mangal Pandey. Many statues and sculptures of martyrs were placed in Ballia after the Independence of India.
