Nationalization in Poland

Nationalization in Poland occurred on a large scale in the aftermath of World War II and introduction of the communist government in Poland. Various forms of nationalization in Poland were suggested by socialist parties and politicians during the era of the Second Polish Republic (1918–1939). Following the communist takeover of the country in the aftermath of World War II, the new communist government issued a number of decrees nationalizing significant parts of Polish property in the years 1944–1956.
