Ned Thompson
Edward William "Ned" Thompson (January 10, 1910 – December 22, 2011) was an American football, basketball, and baseball coach. Thompson was born in Hayes Center, Nebraska on January 10, 1910. He moved to Danbury, Texas at the age of 15 and graduated from nearby Angleton High School. Following high school, he attended Sam Houston State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 1933. Thompson died on December 22, 2011 at the age of 101. He was interred at South Park Cemetery in Pearland, Texas.
