Nell Jackson
Dr. Nell Jackson (July 1, 1929, Athens, Georgia – April 1, 1988, Vestal, New York) was an Olympic sprinter and track coach. In 1956, she was the first African-American be named head coach of the U.S. Olympic Women's Track and Field Team. She also served as the head coach in the 1972 Olympic Games.
