Ngưu Hống (Vietnamese, lit. Cobra) or Heishui (Chinese, lit. Black River) were names for a medieval Black Tai polity that located in northwest Vietnam, mainly around the Black River. Its territory comprises modern-day provinces of Điện Biên, Lai Châu, Sơn La as well as western parts of Lào Cai and Yên Bái.
