Nilanga is a town with a municipal council in Latur District in the Indian state of Maharashtra. It is also the headquarters for Nilanga Taluka. The city being small is the Taluka Headquarter. History of NilangaNilanga is located on the border with Andra Pradesh, it was under the Nizam regime until the Nizam territory merged with India.Nizam of Hyderabad had appointed vatandars under the landlord system and had appointed vatandars one of essentially managing all administrative work and tax collection.The Vatandars or essentially landlords were extremely rich people who had authority to manage the areas and ensure well being.Until Nizam merged this territory in India.
