Nowe Miasto (Polish: [ˈnɔvɛ ˈmjastɔ]; "New Town") is a part of the city of Poznań in western Poland. It was one of the five governmental districts (dzielnicas) into which the city was divided prior to 1990, and which are retained for certain administrative purposes. The district covers an area of 105.1 square kilometres (40.6 sq mi) and has a population of 141,424 (at 30 June 2008).
