Order of Clans of Ireland

The Order of Clans of Ireland is an award made by Clans of Ireland, an organisation which seeks to authenticate and register Irish clans. The Order was instituted in 2010 to commemorate the 21st anniversary of Clans of Ireland. The patron of the Order is Michael D. Higgins, President of Ireland. The Order is intended to honour individuals who have made a significant contribution to their Clan, or Irish heritage and culture generally, or who have "brought conspicuous honour to their clan name".
