Ortal Ben Dayan

Ortal Ben Dayan (in Hebrew: אורטל בן דיין; born July 12, 1981) is a media personality, sociologist, Mizrahi feminist activist, blogger, and fashion and jewelry designer. Ben Dayan first caught the public eye when she sued the Hebrew University of Jerusalem for sexual harassment, a pivotal case that changed how universities in Israel manage relationships between faculty and students, as well as the handling of complaints regarding sexual misconduct by faculty. Later on, Ben Dayan became a popular guest on talk shows and panels, and was also a participant on the Israeli franchise of the reality television series, Big Brother. Ben Dayan is an activist on various social and political issues, and she writes regularly in Israeli newspapers and magazines.
