Osburger Hochwald

The Osburger Hochwald ("Osburg Upland Forest") lies southeast of the and has an area of 75 square kilometres. Together with the Schwarzwälder Hochwald, it forms the Hochwald or "upland forest" of the Hunsrück, the southwestern part of the Rhenish Massif in the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate. The area belongs to the Saar-Hunsrück Nature Park. Northeast of the Hochwald are the Idar Forest and Soonwald. The Hohwäller dialect of the area is part of the Moselle Franconian dialect group.
