In Greek mythology, Otrera /oʊˈtrɪərə, -ˈtriːrə/ (Ancient Greek: Ὀτρήρη Otrērē) was the creator and first Queen of the Amazons; the consort of Ares and mother of Hippolyta and Penthesilea. She is credited with being the founder of the shrine of Artemis in Ephesus.
