Peter Schotting
Peter Schotting (14 November 1943 – 19 March 2020) was a Dutch-American long track speed skating coach. As a speed skating coach he had his main successes in Canada and the United States where he was coach from 1973. He was the coach of Eric Heiden who won at all the five distances the gold medal at the 1980 Winter Olympics. Later he was also the coach of Eric Flaim. Schotting committed suicide on 19 March 2020, aged 76.
