Peterborough Chase

The Peterborough Chase is a Grade 2 National Hunt chase in Great Britain which is open to horses aged four years or older. It is run at Huntingdon over a distance of about 2 miles and 4 furlongs (2 miles, 3 furlongs and 189 yards, or 3,995 metres), and during its running there are sixteen fences to be jumped. The race is currently scheduled in December. In 2019, the race's total prize fund is £65,000. The first running as a 2½ mile conditions chase was in 1978 when it was run as the F A Standen Chase. It was first run under the name of the Peterborough Chase in 1979.
