Ponmalai Nathar Temple

Ponmalai Nathar Temple, also known as Kanagagireeswar temple is at a height of about 500 feet, from the mean sea level. It is thought to have been built approximately 1000 years ago during the reign of the Chola King. Later the temple was expanded during the Vijayanagara Period in the 15th century.
