Prince of Wales' College, Moratuwa

Prince of Wales' College (Sinhala: වේල්ස් කුමර විද්‍යාලය Wels Kumara Vidyalaya, Tamil: வேல்ஸ் கல்லூரி அதிபதி) is a selective entry boys' school situated in Moratuwa, a suburb of Colombo, Sri Lanka. Prince of Wales' College, Moratuwa (along with Princess of Wales' College), was founded and endowed in 1876 by Sir Charles Henry de Soysa, a famous 19th century Sri Lankan philanthropist. The school became fully government-controlled school in 1962. As of 2016 over 7100 boys are studying in the school in grades 1 to 13 including all main streams of secondary studies which include biology, mathematics, commerce and arts.
