Pyotr Vannovsky

Pyotr Semyonovich Vannovsky (Russian: Пётр Семёнович Ванновский, romanized: Pëtr Semënovič Vannovskij; Russian (before 1918): Пётръ Семёновичъ Ванновскій; Belarusian: Пётр Сямёнавіч Ванновскі, romanized: Pëtr Sjamënavič Vannovski; 6 December [O.S. 24 November] 1822 – 1 March [O.S. 17 February] 1904) was a Russian statesman and military leader of Belarusian extraction, who served in the Imperial Russian Army. He was also an honorary member of the Academy of Military Medical, the Mikhailovsky Artillery School, the Mykolaiv Engineering School, the Imperial Academy of Sciences, and a full knight of the Order of St. Vladimir.
