Raimundo Saporta

Raimundo Saporta Namías (December 16, 1926 in Paris, France – February 2, 1997 in Madrid, Spain) was a Spanish professional club basketball administrator. After his death, FIBA and Real Madrid renamed both the European-wide second-tier level FIBA EuroCup, and the Pabellón Ciudad Deportiva arena, after him, in his honor. He received the Olympic Order 1985. In 1997, he was awarded the FIBA Order of Merit. In 2007, he was enshrined into the FIBA Hall of Fame, as a contributor.
