Robin Blencoe

Robin Kyle Blencoe (born November 12, 1947) was a politician in British Columbia, Canada. He was elected to represent the riding of Victoria in the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia in 1983 and 1986, and Victoria-Hillside in 1991. He served in the Cabinet of Mike Harcourt as Minister of Municipal Affairs, Minister of Government Services and the Minister Responsible for Sport and the Commonwealth Games. He was forced out of office due to a number of sexual harassment complaints, which resulted in Blencoe v. British Columbia (Human Rights Commission), a leading Supreme Court of Canada decision on the scope of section 7 of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, and on the administrative law principle of natural justice.
