Ronald Penney
Major General Sir (William) Ronald (Campbell) Penney KBE CB DSO MC (16 May 1896 – 3 December 1964) was a British Army officer who fought in both World War I and World War II. His most notable role was during World War II when he was General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 1st Infantry Division during the controversial Battle of Anzio, part of the Italian Campaign, in early 1944.
