Rudolf Ising

Rudolf Carl Ising (August 7, 1903 – July 18, 1992) was an American animator who created the Warner Bros. Cartoons and MGM Cartoons and his collaboration with Hugh Harman during the golden age of American animation. In 1940, Ising produced William Hanna and Joseph Barbera's first cartoon, Puss Gets the Boot, a cartoon featuring characters later known as Tom and Jerry. He was born in Kansas City, Missouri on August 7, 1903. He was employed alongside Hugh Harman by Walt Disney in his initial cartoon productions.
