Sebastián Coates

Sebastián Coates Nion (Spanish pronunciation: [seβasˈtjan koˈatez ˈnjon]; born 7 October 1990) is a Uruguayan professional footballer who plays as a centre back for Sporting CP and the Uruguay national team. Coates made his international debut at the 2011 Copa América, and was voted Young Player of the Tournament after Uruguay won it. He also represented the country at the 2012 Olympics, 2014 and 2018 FIFA World Cup, and the 2015 and 2019 Copa América.
