SXION 23 LLC, doing business as Section23 Films is an American multimedia distributor specializing in anime and Japanese films. Section23 Films can trace its origins to ADV Films, created in 1992 by Houston native and video game fan John Ledford. After the collapse of ADV, Leford established Section23 Films in 2009 who is also the distributor for Sentai Filmworks and Switchblade Films, which serves as the five successor companies of ADV. ADV had announced that it had sold its assets to a group of companies, including Section23, on September 1, 2009. The company is based in Houston, Texas.
