Simon Murphy (hurler)
Simon Murphy (born 1949) is an Irish retired hurler who played as a right wing-back for the Cork senior team. Murphy joined the team during the 1969-70 National League and was a regular member of the starting fifteen until his retirement after the 1971-72 National League. During that time he won one All-Ireland medal and two National League medals. At club level Murphy was a one-time All-Ireland medalist with Blackrock. In addition to this he has also won one Munster medal and one county club championship medal.
