Tan Kok Wai
Tan Kok Wai (simplified Chinese: 陈国伟; traditional Chinese: 陳國偉; pinyin: Chén Guówěi; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Tân Kok-uí; born 7 October 1957) is a Malaysian politician who served as the Special Envoy of the Prime Minister to China in the Pakatan Harapan (PH) administration under former Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad from August 2018 to March 2020. He has served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Cheras since April 1995, Sungai Besi from August 1986 to April 1995 and National Chairman of the Democratic Action Party (DAP), a component party of the PH coalition, since March 2014 after the death of his predecessor Karpal Singh.
