The Health Protection (Coronavirus, International Travel and Operator Liability) (England) Regulations 2021

The Health Protection (Coronavirus, International Travel and Operator Liability) (England) Regulations 2021 (SI 2021/582) is a statutory instrument (SI) enacted on 17 May 2021 by the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, Matt Hancock, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The instrument revokes and replaces The Health Protection (Coronavirus, International Travel) (England) Regulations 2020 (SI 2020/568). A new Green/Amber/Red COVID-19 risk-level system of country categorisation is introduced (similar but not identical to the revoked Exempt / Not exempt / Red list categories of SI 2020/568). Direct air and/or boat journeys from certain very high risk countries were prohibited until 8 June, on which date direct flights were again allowed but only into Heathrow and Birmingham airpor
