Also starring Cynthia Gibb, Danielle Harris, and Sally Kirkland, it was filmed in Ottumwa, Iowa, where Arnold was born. Based upon Laura Kalpakian's novel Graced Land. The screenplay was written by novelist Rita Mae Brown. This was the final TV movie directed by veteran actor Bill Bixby before his death in November 1993.
