Tooborac

Tooborac /ˈtuːbəræk/ is a town in Victoria, Australia. The town is in the Shire of Mitchell local government area, 93 kilometres (58 mi) north of the state capital, Melbourne. At the 2011 census, Tooborac and the surrounding area had a population of 405. At the 2016 census, Tooborac and the surrounding area had a population of 310. Tooborac Post Office opened on 1 January 1872. Tooborac is known for its annual 'Octooberfest', a German Octoberfest themed event.
