Turawa

Turawa [tuˈrava] (German: Turawa) is a village in Opole County, Opole Voivodeship, in southern Poland. It is the seat of the gmina (administrative district) called Gmina Turawa. It lies approximately 14 km (9 mi) north-east of the regional capital Opole. Before 1945 the area was part of Germany (see Territorial changes of Poland after World War II). The village has an approximate population of 900.
