UK Chamber of Shipping
The UK Chamber of Shipping is the trade body for shipping in the United Kingdom, representing over 140 shipping companies. They are one of the principal members of the International Chamber of Shipping. Their headquarters are in , London. The Chamber promotes British shipping around the world and often acts a source of maritime knowledge to the media; for example in 2015 the Chamber worked with ITV in the production of a Maritime Nation Television Programme and in 2016 reported on various matters concerning the training of Merchant Navy Officers. The body is also responsible for working closely with the UK government and Maritime and Coastguard Agency; in 2014 the UK government's national strategy was unveiled at the Chamber.
