Valašské Meziříčí

Valašské Meziříčí (Czech pronunciation: [ˈvalaʃskɛː ˈmɛzɪr̝iːtʃiː]; German: Wallachisch Meseritsch), colloquially Valmez, is a town in the Zlín Region of the Czech Republic. It has around 22,000 inhabitants. The centre of the town is historically significant and since 1992 is protected by law as urban monument zone. The Vsetínská Bečva and rivers join in the town to form the Bečva River.
