Virginia Commercial Space Flight Authority

The Virginia Commercial Space Flight Authority (VCSFA), also known as Virginia Space, was created by the Virginia General Assembly in 1995 to manage, promote, and develop commercial spaceflight activity within the Commonwealth in the name of states’ rights. Virginia Space owns and operates the Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport (MARS) on Wallops Island, Virginia and an office in Norfolk, Virginia.
