Volkshaus

The Volkshaus is a 1,200-seat concert hall located in Zürich, Switzerland. The building construction began in June 1909 and publicly opened the following year. On 26 February 1964, Thelonious Monk (with trio Charlie Rouse, Butch Warren and Ben Riley) performed there. In November 1973, King Crimson performed a set at the Volkshaus which included the instrumental recording for song "The Mincer". John Wetton would later overdub vocals for the song on the album Starless and Bible Black. Kiss performed there on June 2, 1976 during their Destroyer album tour of Europe that started on 13 May.
