Welsh Labour

Welsh Labour (Welsh: Llafur Cymru) is the branch of the United Kingdom Labour Party that operates in Wales as the largest political party in modern Welsh politics. With its predecessor organisations, it has won the biggest share of the vote at every UK general election since 1922, every Senedd election since 1999, and every European Parliament election from 1979 until 2004, as well as the 2014 one. Welsh Labour holds 22 of 40 Welsh seats in the UK Parliament, 30 of 60 seats in the Senedd, and 576 of 1,264 principal local authority councillors, including overall control of 10 of 22 Welsh local authorities.
